2010 NFL Predictions- Week 7
7-7 last week in both categories. 50-40 and 37-53 on the season.
FALCONS (-3.5) over Bengals- Atlanta pulled up lame last week, but is back home and is dominant there. Cincy has had problems both at home and on the road and their season may be about to go up in smoke. Falcons 27 Bengals 16
RAVENS (-13.5) over Bills- Ravens should be steaming mad after blowing the game in New England last week and will take it out on a Bills team that is arguably the worst in the NFL. Ravens 36 Bills 14
49'ers (-3.5) over PANTHERS- Carolina has switched QB's again in an attempt to get a win or two on the season and this is certainly going to be a live opponent for them. San Francisco escaped with their win last week and should make it two in a row now. 49'ers 16 Panthers 10
Redskins (+2.5) over BEARS- A battle of two offensively challenged teams both in need of a win. With the Giants red hot and the Eagles playing well the Redskins are in danger of falling out of it. Chicagos lead will dwindle with another bad loss. Bears win but don't cover. Bears 19 Redskins 17
CHIEFS (-4.5) over Jaguars- Kansas City had the Texans dead to rights last week and fell apart defensively. Jacksonville does not have that kind of offensive firepower to do the same. Another bad loss for the Jaguars. Chiefs 30 Jaguars 14
Steelers (-3.5) over DOLPHINS- Miami pulled off an upset in Green Bay last week to continue their road warrior success, but they are 0-2 at home and facing a great road team in the Steelers. If Miami is to change their fortunes it has to happen here. Doubtful it happens this week. Steelers 31 Dolphins 13
Browns (+13.5) over SAINTS- Yes we all know the Browns are not good, but is one game enough to have the Saints as 13 point favorites? Prior to last week Browns had yet to lose a game by even close to that number and the Saints never won a game close to that either. Saints in in a much closer than expected game. Saints 17 Browns 10
Rams (+2.5) over Buccaneers- Tampa has started the deep trend downward and is taking on a Rams team that is much improved over last season. Rams were blown out in Detroit and did lose in Oakland, but Tampa has been wiped out at home their last two games. Road win for the Rams. Rams 21 Bucs 16
Eagles (+3.5) over TITANS- Statistically the Titans are playing great and are the best team that nobody is talking about. They should have a great chance at winning their division. But they are only 1-2 at home while the Eagles are 3-0 on the road. Titans always kill NFC teams but that will end this week. Eagles 27 Titans 21
SEAHAWKS (-5.5) over Cardinals- Classic matchup of great home vs. terrible road team. A win for Seattle puts them in a really good position in the West. Seahawks 37 Cardinals 13
BRONCOS (-6.5) over Raiders- I've played the Raiders too many times for my liking and they always come up short. The stats say the Broncos this week should win and cover which probably means Raider nation has a good chance this week. Broncos need to mentally rebound from a crushing loss. Broncos 24 Raiders 16
CHARGERS (-2.5) over Patriots- SD fell apart again on the road last week but they are a far different team on their home field. San Diego is a strange team but this is the kind of game they get revved up for. If the Pats win this game convincingly they may overtake the Jets as favorites in some peoples minds. Chargers 36 Patriots 23
PACKERS (-2.5) over Vikings- Neither team is very good this year as Favre has struggled as a Viking and Rodgers can't overcome team injuries in Green Bay, but you know a lot of people will tune in to watch this spectacle. Green Bay got caught looking ahead last week, but will take it out on the Vikings. Packers 27 Vikings 16
Giants (+3.5) over COWBOYS- When these two teams meet its always fun. Cowboys season officially ends if they lose this game while the Giants continue their rise with a win. Not sure if the poor offensive line can handle the Giants pass rush, but they will have to if they want to win. Giants continue their domination
And its a real shame the Dolphins lost ...
I was rooting for the Bills, they have come close a couple of times.
Giants have taken out 5 QBs this year. I wish we could trade Gholston for Justin Tuck, and Osi Umenyiora.
Giants vs Jets in the Super Bowl. And the Cowboys can buy a ticket and watch
