NFL Predictions- 2010 Week 6

2010 NFL Predictions- Week 6

Another terrible week with records of 8-6 and 6-8. Will we do any better this week? I hope so. Yearly record is 43-33 SU and 30-46 ATS.

Seahawks (+6.5) over BEARS- Very tough game because of the drastic change in play we see from Seattle when they leave the comforts from home. This looks to be a very low scoring game that the Bears should win, but will have a problem with the cover. Bears 17 Seahawks 13

PACKERS (-3.5) over Dolphins- Green Bay is all kinds of banged up, but Miami has had a terrible start to the season particularly on offense where QB Chad Henne could be one more bad loss away from being benched. There are questions concerning Aaron Rodgers, but he likely will play. Packers 24 Dolphins 13

Chiefs (+4.5) over TEXANS- That opening game win against the Colts must feel like years ago to Texans fans as the Texans have been blown away two home games in a row. Kansas City seemed to show that their defense was for real last week and if not for a dropped TD by WR Dwayne Bowe may have won the game. Numbers say they should pull this one out too. Chiefs 24 Texans 17

Ravens (+2.5) over PATRIOTS- The Ravens ran all over New England in last years playoffs and will look to do the same to the defensively challenged Pats up in Foxboro. New England does have firepower on offense, but how the loss of WR Randy Moss affects the team has yet to be known. Even with his numbers down Moss drew help away from Aaron Hernandez and Wes Welker. If Baltimore wins it might signal the end for Brady's streak in the AFC East. Patriots 23 Ravens 21

Lions (+9.5) over GIANTS- Just when you thought the Giants were dead they go and rattle off two major wins in a row to take over the favorite role in the NFC East. The Lions certainly come to play every week and teams can no longer just take them for granted, even on the road. It will be tough for the Giants to not have a letdown of sorts here and 9.5 is just too many points. Giants 24 Lions 20

Falcons (+2.5) over EAGLES- A huge game for the Eagles and QB Kevin Kolb as the Eagles fans will not likely accept another home loss this week. Atlanta has played well this season and ranks as the highest NFC team in my efficiency ratings. They have had somewhat of an easy schedule thus far and a win here would probably validate their rankings. Falcons 23 Eagles 20

STEELERS (-13.5) over Browns- Maybe the Browns get a spark out of QB Colt McCoy, but what a terrible place to start a career. The Steelers are the best defense in the NFL and now the team gets back their star QB for this game. Cleveland has yet to get blown out this year, but if they are going to get blown way this would be the place for it to happen. Steelers 24 Browns 6

RAMS (+8.5) over Chargers- It just seems that every time the Chargers go on the road they pull up lame. The home and away splits say this game should be closer than people think, though you have to wonder if the Rams saw their bubble burst last week and start to play dead the rest of the season. Chargers 28 Rams 21

BUCCANEERS (+4.5) over Saints- New Orleans is not a good football team right now and the Bucs have had two weeks to prepare for this one. The Saints are lucky to have as many wins as they have and that usually balances out by years end. Bucs outright. Buccaneers 22 Saints 20

Jets (-3.5) over BRONCOS- This is a tough stadium to play in, but the Broncos were already beaten once there by the Colts and the Jets are better than Indianapolis. Jets 28 Broncos 17

Raiders (+6.5) over 49'ERS- My head tells me that this is the perfect sport for San Francisco to win a game, but the numbers say that not only with the 49'ers not cover but they should lose outright. The 49'ers coach already looks to have lost the team and if they lose this week it will be a certainty that the team is lost. Raiders 27 49'ers 23

Cowboys (+1.5) over VIKINGS- The battle of the two huge disappointments. Both teams have been in every game this season but they just come up short every time. Both teams have a solid defense and streaky offense. Should be close and could go either way. Vikings 17 Cowboys 16

Colts (-3.5) over REDSKINS- Somehow Washington finds ways to win every week so maybe they find away to do so again this week. Colts know that they have to start winning more games if they want a playoff bye week and can not lose their third road game of the year. Colts 24 Redskins 17

Titans (-2.5) over JAGUARS- Monday night football has gone from Jets vs. Favre to this? The real loser in this game is the home viewers. Jaguars are overmatched. Titans 30 Jaguars 17
