NFL Predictions- 2010 Week 16

2010 NFL Predictions- Week 16

The records last week were 10-6 and 9-7. Seasonal record is at 128-96 straight up and 106-118 against the spread.

STEELERS (-13.5) over Panthers- Expect the Steelers to get back to their winning ways as they take on an overmatched Panthers team that is likely still partying over last weeks win. Steelers 27 Panthers 9

Cowboys (-6.5) over CARDINALS- Dallas’ defense is terrible, but if there is one thing the team can do is score points, something Arizona can not do. Cowboys 30 Cardinals 20

Patriots (-7.5) over BILLS- Give Buffalo credit for trying hard down the stretch, but there is a world of difference between playing New England and Miami. Patriots wrap the division up in a convincing manner. Patriots 33 Bills 17

Jets (+1.5) over BEARS- Should be a relatively hard nosed relatively low scoring game. New York is a better road team than the Bears are a home team. Jets 23 Bears 20

Ravens (-3.5) over BROWNS- Very tough game to call. The Browns are game every week, but just have no offense at all and all the settling for field goals doesn’t seem to work. Probably right on the point spread line and could go either way. Ravens 20 Browns 16

Redskins (+6.5) over JAGUARS- Washington fell behind early before they seemed to find their groove on offense and nearly pulled off the upset. Don’t be stunned if they pull it off this week. Jacksonville has no home field advantage at all. Jags in a close one. Jaguars 23 Redskins 21

CHIEFS (-5.5) over Titans- Kansas City still has destiny in their hands and will have to hope they can do enough defensively to win the West. Titans are going to be more focused on winning next week and potentially knocking the Colts out of the playoffs than winning this game. Chiefs 21 Titans 13

Lions (+3.5) over DOLPHINS- Could Detroit actually win two in a row on the road? Could Miami actually win a home game? I guess we will find out Sunday. A loss for Miami pretty much seals the fate for the head coach. Dolphins 23 Lions 21

RAMS (+2.5) over 49’ers- How crazy is it that at 5-9 the 49’ers are still alive while its possible that a 10 win team will miss the playoffs in the NFC? Go Rams. Rams 20 49’ers 13

BENGALS (+7.5) over Chargers- What makes this tough is that the score projects to be close to the spread, but the Bengals just lost their best offensive player for the season. San Diego still has to prove that they can play big on the road and has lost games to teams nearly as bad as this one, so we will cross our fingers on the Bengals. Chargers 28 Bengals 21

Texans (-2.5) over BRONCOS- Two teams going nowhere, but the Houston head coach has roots in Denver and maybe can make a claim to the job with a win here. Texans 34 Broncos 30

RAIDERS (+3.5) over Colts- Upset of the week. Raiders are the better team based on the home/away splits and the Colts are really limping. If not for a David Garrard mistake the Jaguars had a chance to win last week. Colts will have a hard time getting that lucky again. Raiders 24 Colts 21

PACKERS (-2.5) over Giants- The Packers get their QB back and are going to be facing a Giants team that was part of perhaps the biggest collapse in the last 20 years. Green Bay is far too strong in Lambeau. Packers 28 Giants 17

Seahawks (+6.5) over BUCCANEERS- Will the Bucs lose this week? Probably not, but they are an awful home team. Bad home teams cant lay nearly 7 points and be considered a safe bet. Buccaneers 23 Seahawks 20

Vikings (+11.5) over EAGLES- Much like the Bengals game this is a tough call because the Vikings are possibly going to be without their best offensive player and on top of that are down to their third string QB, though the QB play has been so poor that is not as concerning. Vikings score late to cover. Eagles 26 Vikings 16

FALCONS (-2.5) over Saints- The Saints got caught looking ahead last week and certainly have a chance this week, but Atlanta is so good at home it will take a perfect effort from New Orleans and they have been far from perfect this year. Falcons 24 Saints 20
