NFL Predictions- 2010 Week 12
New York Jets Salary Cap Page

2010 NFL Predictions- Week 12

9-7 and 8-8 last week in the predictions. 91-69 and 75-85 are the season totals.

LIONS (+6.5) over Patriots- New England just keeps winning and winning but the Lions are playing well at home this season and are a much better team than the record indicates. Lions will look to make some noise on TV against an unsuspecting Patriots group. Lions 34 Patriots 27

Saints (-3.5) over COWBOYS- There is a lot of talk out there that the Cowboys are somehow back after two wins. I have a feeling that feel good talk ends quickly in this one. Saints get revenge for Dallas beating them last year. Saints 34 Cowboys 20

JETS (-9.5) over Bengals- Cincy is the ultimate backdoor cover team this year and they have burned me before, but with all the injuries the Jets should win and barely cover. Jets 27 Bengals 17

Packers (+2.5) over FALCONS- Could be a NFC championship preview. Atlanta is a great home team and always seems to find a way to win, but Green Bay is playing outstanding football and have only allowed 10 total points in their last 3 games. Packers take a close one. Packers 21 Falcons 19

Steelers (-6.5) over BILLS- Buffalo is clearly playing better, but if they spot the Steelers a big lead there is no coming back as they did against the Bengals last weekend. A loss would be devastating to the Steelers this week. Steelers 27 Bills 14

BROWNS (-10.5) over Panthers- The Browns offense, which is not very good, makes this a hard game to pick, but Carolina is totally inept on offense. Panthers are total no-shows most of the time. Browns 23 Panthers 10

Titans (+7.5) over TEXANS- The Titans are in a big slump and have all kinds of issues at QB, but is losing Vince Young really that big of a deal? I do not think it is. Houston is being outscored by 6 points a game at home and there is no reason for it to change this week. Titans 30 Texans 24

Jaguars (+7.5) over GIANTS- Somehow the Jaguars are in first place in the AFC South despite being a pretty mediocre football team. Giants mistakes have killed them the last two weeks and will come close to being their undoing this week as well. Giants 24 Jaguars 21

REDSKINS (-2.5) over Vikings- Everyone is assuming that the coaching change for the Vikings is going to mean they start winning games, but there is something fundamentally flawed with the team that goes beyond the coach. I don’t think they ever recovered from losing the championship game last year and Favre is just in an awful rut which means a ton of turnovers. Redskins 23 Vikings 20

Dolphins (+3.5) over RAIDERS- Neither team is as bad as they looked last week and the Dolphins have had over a week to prepare and get their QB ready to play. Oakland should be able to spread them out and run on them to get the win, but it should be very close. Raiders 21 Dolphins 20

SEAHAWKS (+1.5) over Chiefs- Both teams try hard and both are somewhat overachievers, but the main thing each team has in common is the fact that they both have great home field advantages. Seattle is home so go with them. Seahawks 24 Chiefs 20

Buccaneers (+7.5) over RAVENS- I don’t really believe in the Bucs, but statistically they have a great chance to win this week based on home and away splits. Tampa has only lost once on the road and at the least should keep this within a score. We’ll predict the upset though. Buccaneers 24 Ravens 21

Eagles (-3.5) over BEARS- Chicago does not have the weapons to keep up with this team. Eagles will move a step closer to home field in the playoffs. Eagles 31 Bears 23

Rams (+3.5) over BRONCOS- Is there a QB in the NFL that looks like they could have more potential than Sam Bradford? St. Louis was right in the game with the Falcons last week until a bad turnover turned the tide and they should stay close this week as well. Broncos season is over but they will still give it an effort at home. Broncos 27 Rams 24

COLTS (-3.5) over Chargers- These could be two scary teams come playoff time, but right now both teams are in a struggle just to stay in the playoff hunt. San Diego always plays the Colts well, but Indianapolis is the more desperate team and Peyton has to be livid over last weeks collapse in New England. Colts 27 Chargers 14

CARDINALS (+1.5) over 49’ers- How did this end up in prime time? This has to set an all time record for lowest rating in the history of Monday Night Football. Cardinals 31 49’ers 20 RSS Subscription Twitter
