NFL Predictions- Week 3

Not too good last week. 9-6 straight up and 8-7 against the spread. Lets see how bad things get in week 3.

Cardinals (+3.5) Over REDSKINS- Redskins looked much better last week against the Saints and will look to match points with the high octane Cardinals passing game. Cardinals are too good to pass up with the points. Cardinals 20 Redskins 14

VIKINGS(-3.5) over Panthers- Minnesota completely dominated the Colts before falling apart in the 4th quarter and they are hungry for a win. Gus Frerotte may not be good, but he is a better QB than Tarvaris Jackson. Panther could be a bit tired off two come from behind wins. Vikings 17 Panther 10

GIANTS(-13.5) over Bengals- I hate laying this many points with the Giants, who have been so inconsistent in the past, but they are playing with a big chip on their shoulder and will look to go into their bye on a real hot streak. Plus this is the Bungles they are playing against. Giants 30 Bengals 9

TITANS(-4.5) over Texans- Tennessee is playing some good football right now and they rarely, if ever, lose to the Texans. Houston still has to prove it can play on the road before they are worth a gamble on.
Titans 27 Texans 16

FALCONS(-4.5) over Chiefs- Kansas City is in a bad place right now with no quarterback and really no talent. Expect a big day from Michael Turner in what will be the Falcons last time they will be favored until the last week of the year. Falcons 20 Chiefs 9

Dolphins(+12.5) over PATRIOTS- Despite last weeks no show in Arizona, Miami often finds ways to play competitive games with New England, who might be in for a bit of a letdown after their emotional victory against the Jets. Patriots 20 Dolphins 10

BILLS(-8.5) over Raiders- Iím still not sure what to make of Buffalo right now, but Im certain I know what the Raiders are and that is a bottom tier team with no passing game and a pretty mediocre defense. With the way their schedule is shaping up Buffalo is going to be a big story come mid October. Bills 27 Raiders 10

BEARS (-2.5) over Buccaneers- Could win the most boring game of the week award as neither team has any offense. Bears are playing the better defense, are home, and have more dangerous players on both sides of the ball which gives them the advantage. Bears 16 Buccaneers 13

49íers (-3.5) over Lions- Detroit has become the joke of the NFL and their defense might be the worst defense the league has ever seen. The offense puts some points up, but its never enough to win. You can bet that SF offensive coordinator Mike Martz cant wait to stick it to his old Lions team. 49ers 35 Lions 26

BRONCOS (-5.5) over Saints- Could Denver be in for a letdown after their big win against the Chargers? Possibly, but the offense is having way too much fun to lay an egg against a bad Saints team. Jay Cutler could be the MVP if he keeps playing this way. Saints cant get back to New Orleans soon enough. Broncos 37 Saints 24

SEAHAWKS (-9.5) over Rams- Both teams are playing terrible football, but the Rams do not even have a pulse right now. Seattle loves to stick it to St. Louis and know their season hangs in the balance. Rams should have fired their coach before the season began and are paying for it now. Seahawks 30 Rams 17

Browns (+1.5) over RAVENS- Cleveland is not a good football team, but they are better than Baltimore, even with the Ravens playing at home. If the Browns lose the love affair with Derek Anderson and Romeo Crennel is going to come screeching to a halt. Browns eek one out. Browns 16 Ravens 14

Jaguars (+5.5) over Colts- Jacksonville has completely fallen apart much worse than I ever would have thought and needs a win against their hated rivals to save the season. The Colts are still limping but were able to fight thru it for a win last week. They should be able to fight through this one as well, but not by enough to cover. Jags likely become the first team from the 07 playoffs to fall out of the race in 08. Colts 20 Jaguars 16

Eagles (-2.5) over Steelers- Pittsburgh was able to bully their way to a win over Cleveland, but back to back road games is going to be tough for them. Eagles may be a bit hungover from the crushing loss in Dallas, but Id be more worried about them if they won last week. Too many weapons for the Steelers. Eagles 24 Steelers 13

Packers (+2.5) over Cowboys- Dallas looks like they want to put up offensive numbers that can match the 2007 effort by the New England Patriots, but the Packers have been doing a good job themselves of airing the ball out. After the emotional Monday nighter against the Eagles, it could take Dallas a little time to fire here.
Cowboys 30 Packers 28

Jets (+8.5) over Chargers- San Diegoís season hangs in the balance here as a loss moves them into a really bad place nobody ever would have expected. They will get the win, but this is just too many points to pass up with Favre in prime time. Chargers 31 Jets 23
