NFL Predictions- Week 16

JAGUARS (+6.5) over Colts- Do I expect Jacksonville to win this game? No, but they always get amped up to play the Colts and should at least give a small effort this week. Indy could be dangerous come playoff time.
Colts 24 Jaguars 20

Ravens (+4.5) over COWBOYS- Dallas would probably like to take a week off and Tony Romo knows he is going to get battered around again this week by a physical defense. A very important game for both teams as a loss here could derail both teams playoff aspirations. Dallas eeks it out. Cowboys 26 Ravens 23

BROWNS (-3.5) over Bengals- Terrible game. Neither team can score much and neither team should retain their head coach next season. Take the home team. Browns 16 Bengals 9

Saints (-6.5) over LIONS- Very cautious about this game because the Saints are done and play terrible on the road, but the Lions are afterall the Lions and just have very little talent. I have had this circled for weeks as the game the Lions could win, but I’ll go against my gut and pick the Saints. Saints 37 Lions 21

Dolphins (-3.5) over CHIEFS- Miami just got by last week and returns to the road where they surprisingly are a much better team. Herman Edwards looks to be playing out the string and Arrowhead might get very ugly towards him by the end of this one. Miami 30 Chiefs 16

Cardinals (+7.5) over PATRIOTS- If New England wins this game they will end up in the playoffs as either the 3 or 6 seed. If they lose this game the season is probably over for the Bradyless Pats. If Ken Whisenhunt does not allow his team to just take the season off they can put up points on a tired defense.
Patriots 29 Cardinals 27

49’ers (-5.5) over RAMS- The Rams were up 20-3 against the lowly Seahawks and lost at home. What a terrible team. San Francisco should win easily. 49’ers 28 Rams 14

Texans (-7.5) over RAIDERS - Will Houston take a week off after the emotional win against the Titans? Maybe, but unless you are the Jets you can take a week off in Oakland and still win by double digits. Houston really wants that winning record this year and if they only had a defense they would be in the wildcard lead.
Texans 27 Raiders 16

Falcons (+3.5) over VIKINGS- Vikings had a big win last week, but nobody ever accused them of being a very focused bunch and are likely going to bask in the glory of that win all week and then start looking ahead to the Giants forgetting all about the Falcons. Falcons 17 Vikings 13

Eagles (-5.5) over REDSKINS - All the Redskins want for Christmas is a new coach and a new quarterback. If they had either maybe they wouldn’t be in the middle of a collapse. Eagles might still be able to get into the playoffs if they keep winning. Eagles 27 Redskins 13

Steelers (-1.5) over TITANS- Another slugfest for Pittsburgh and you have to wonder if at any point they just wont be rested enough for one of these games. They are a better team than Tennessee and are playing for the top seed in the AFC. Another 4th quarter miracle for the Steelers. Steelers 16 Titans 13

BUCCANEERS (-3.5) over Chargers - San Diego almost lost to Kansas City last week. How did things get so bad for that team? Something needs to be changed this offseason. Tampa slaughters teams at home and this will be no exception. Bucs 26 Chargers 13

Bills (+6.5) over BRONCOS- JP Losman saw his career end in the Meadowlands last Sunday, but Trent Edwards is back and maybe the Bills wont quit on the season just yet, plus Denver is garbage as a favorite. Bills with the upset. Bills 27 Broncos 25

SEAHAWKS (+4.5) over Jets- Jets are playing as bad as anyone in the league, while the Seahawks fight every week. Jets either win a blowout or lose a close one as their playoff dreams might just crumble.
Seahawks 24 Jets 20

GIANTS (-3.5) over Panthers- I can not imagine the Giants playing so badly on offense for a third week in a row with the number 1 seed on the line. That was their goal all season and they should be able to overwhelm a very inconsistent road team in the Panthers. Giants 27 Panthers 16

Packers (+4.5) over BEARS- Im not sure why I pick the Packers every week, but here we go again with them. They have no defense but they find ways to score enough points to at least keep things interesting. Bears win, but Pack covers. Bears 31 Packers 27
