NFL Predictions- Week 11
Well at least I haven’t been losing as bad lately…
Jets (+3.5) over PATRIOTS- Should be a very physical and close football game. Winner likely wins the division.
Patriots 20 Jets 19
Ravens (+6.5) over GIANTS- If ever there was a week where the Giants may lay down and take it easy it is this one. Baltimore has surprisingly played very well away from home and should compete this week. Giants 26 Ravens
Bears (+5.5) over PACKERS- Chicago’s defense is tremendous when they go on the road and there is no reason they should be this big of a dog to the Packers. Bears win outright and but the Green Bay season on life support. Bears 24 Packers 14
PANTHERS (-14.5) over Lions- Panthers sights are set on a Super Bowl while all the Lions can think about is who they are going to draft number 1 in April. Blowout.
Panthers 39 Lions 7
FALCONS (-5.5) over Broncos- Denver had no business winning that game last Thursday and won’t be so lucky this week. Atlanta is one of the best home teams in the NFL and Denver just about the worst on the road. Bet the over. Falcons 37 Broncos 25
COLTS (-8.5) over Texans- Houston’s season basically ended last week when they got steamrolled at home and may not even get off the bus to play this one. The only worry is if the Colts have a slight letdown after two big wins, but with the team chasing a playoff spot they don’t have the luxury of laying down.
Colts 31 Texans 17
BUCCANEERS (-3.5) over Vikings - Bucs need this win to keep pace in the South and has been a dominant home team the last two years, while the Vikings rarely get the job done away from the dome.
Buccaneers 27 Vikings 16
CHIEFS (+4.5) over Saints - No matter what you think about Drew Brees gaudy numbers, the Saints are basically carbon copies of the Martz Rams or Vermeil Chiefs that play no defense and cant score enough away from home to win. I wish they were getting more points, but I think Kansas City, who has been competitive these last three weeks, may win. Chiefs 30 Saints 26
Raiders (+10.5) over DOLPHINS - There is nothing about the Raiders that makes me pick them here, its just an anti-Dolphin pick. Miami goes into cruise control at home and this is the perfect cruise control opponent to have. Dolphins 20 Raiders 13
Eagles (-8.5) over BENGALS - Eagles are going to come out firing after McNabb and company come up short in yet another crucial spot last week. Bengals don’t have a prayer. Eagles 28 Bengals 10
Titans (-2.5) over JAGUARS - Jacksonville is so overrated and everytime they win a game everyone assumes it means 2007 is back, but they always lose the following week it seems. Jaguars are only 1-3 at home this year while the Titans have yet to win by less than a FG. Titans 24 Jaguars 13
CARDINALS (-5.5) over Seahawks - Arizona scares me just a little away from home, but after a dismal showing on national TV, where the team may have been a little tight, they should bounce back in a big way to light up the Seahawks. Cardinals 30 Seahawks 21
49’ERS (-5.5) over Rams - Never thought Id see the 49’ers this big of a favorite, but when you play a team that just lost by 44 points its understandable. Rams may have mailed it in for the season. 49’ers 29 Rams 13
STEELERS (-4.5) over Chargers - Pittsburgh has let me down their last two at home but Ill stick with them for one more week against a San Diego team that is terribly coached and can not play on the road. The question is can Pittsburgh cover the spread? Steelers 27 Chargers 20
Cowboys (-1.5) over REDSKINS - Washington was never as good as people thought when they went on their streak early in the year and do not play that well at home, especially offensively. Dallas needs to make a statement this week. Cowboys 23 Redskins 20
Browns (+5.5) over Bills - Both teams are reeling, especially the Bills who are quickly sinking to the bottom of the AFC East after a fast start. I’m not sure anyone can figure either of these teams out, so Ill just take the points and hope the Browns defense doesn’t implode in the 4th quarter. Bills 17 Browns 14
