Free agent LB Calvin Pace signed a 6 year, 42 million dollar contract with the New York Jets on March 3, 2008.
21.5 million of the deal is guaranteed and includes an 11 million dollar signing bonus and a 9 million dollar roster bonus in 2009.
Pace will receive a $250,000 bonuses in each year of the contract.
Pace will earn $750,000(2008), $750,000(2009), $3,750,000(2010), $3,855,000(2011), $4,585,000(2012), and $5,810,000(2013) in base salary.
In February of 2009 Pace agreed to convert an estimated 5.9 million of his 2009 roster bonus to a signing bonus.
Pace was suspended for 4 weeks in 2009 for violating the NFL's drug policy. The Jets will receive a 4 week credit fo his prorated salary.
On July 29, 2011 Pace renegotiated his contract to defer $2 million of salary in 2011 and 2012 until 2013 in return for a full guarantee of his 2011 and 2012 base salaries. Updated
