NFL Predictions- Week 5

I ended up going 10-6 both straight up and ATS last week. Now I’ll move on to using the efficiency numbers to predict the games and well see how that works out. Yearly record is 42-22 SU and 36-28 ATS.

BILLS(+2.5) over Eagles- Im not really sold on the Bills but right now they are playing better football than the Eagles who are just a disaster on defense. Bills 35 Eagles 24

Titans (+7.5) over STEELERS- The last few weeks the Titans have played outstanding football. They are safe on offense and terrific on defense. Both teams like a low scoring game but that should play more to the Titans favor this week. Titans 17 Steelers 9

COLTS (-1.5) over Chiefs- The Colts will finally get a non-Manning win when they welcome the completely inept Chiefs. Colts 27 Chiefs 20

Bengals (+2.5) over JAGUARS- I am unsure how the Jaguars could be favored over anyone, let alone a team that is playing extremely well on defense. In games like this you look for big play possibilities and the Bengals have more of a chance for that than Jacksonville. Bengals16 Jaguars 3

GIANTS (-9.5) over Seahawks- The Seahawks are a miserable team, especially when they hit the road. If the Giants blow this game there will be riots in NY, Giants 28 Seahawks 13

TEXANS (-6.5) over Raiders- Both teams should score points, but the Texans, even without Andre Johnson, have a much more potent aerial attack. Oaklands defense isn’t ready to compete with high level offenses. Texans 31 Raiders 224

Cardinals (+2.5) over VIKINGS- I have a gut feeling that Donovan McNabb’s NFL career as a starter officially ends at halftime of this game. Vikings are their own worst enemy each and every week. Cardinals 24 Vikings 19

Saints (-5.5) over PANTHERS- Carolina is always dangerous for the backdoor cover, especially against a defense like the Saints, but it may be hard for them to keep up in a shootout and avoid mistakes. Saints 37 Panthers 23

49’ERS (-0.5) over Buccaneers- I could see San Francisco being spent off the come from behind win, but Tampa is in the same situation, played a day later, and is travelling. San Francisco may be the better team as well. 49’ers 21 Buccaneers 17

Jets (+9.5) over PATRIOTS- Who would have ever thought at the beginning of the year that the Jets would be nearly 10 point underdogs to the team they dismantled In the playoffs? Not me. It could be a long year, but they should be within 10. Patriots 34 Jets 28

Broncos (+4.5) over CHARGERS- Denver burned me last week, but the numbers say this should be close. Not sure why the Chargers are having problems on offense when it comes to scoring the football, but if they figure it out they will be dangerous. Chargers 23 Broncos 21

Packers (-5.5) over FALCONS- Atlanta has looked awful this year while the Packers look far better than they did last season. Atlanta does usually play better at home, but the Packers massacred them last year and looks to do the same this year. Packers 41 Falcons 23

LIONS (-6.5) over Bears- Only way the Bears win is if Suh gets flagged every time he touches Cutler. Lions have everything working for them and the Bears are going to be forced into throwing to keep up, which is not good for Chicago. Lions 34 Bears 23
